Maintenance Surveyor

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Surveyor to join a leading social housing provider in South London on a temporary basis. The role will involve conducting pre‑ and post‑inspection surveys, producing technical reports and supporting responsive, void and cyclical repairs across the assigned area.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver an effective Repairs & Maintenance service, including disrepair works, major/complex works, FRA, responsive repairs, voids and adaptations.
• Carry out diagnostic inspections, surveys and produce technical reports in line with company practice.
• Manage insurance claims and property inspections, liaising with loss adjusters and the insurance team.
• Act as technical lead during handover of new developments to ensure quality control.

Required profile

• Diploma in Surveying, Property and Maintenance Level 3.
• Extensive knowledge of the social housing sector and its regulations.
• Strong understanding of building construction standards, planning regulations and health & safety legislation.
• Experience in financial management and contractor control within repairs delivery.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
