Maintenance Team Leader – Continental Shift (Days Only)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Leader to join a leading FMCG manufacturing site in North Lanarkshire. The role operates on a continental shift pattern (4 on / 4 off) from 06:30 to 19:00, providing day‑only coverage for critical plant equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the engineering maintenance team, ensuring effective daily operations.
• Plan, initiate and manage preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to keep machinery running smoothly.
• Promote a safety‑first culture by enforcing health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate closely with production teams to optimise equipment performance and minimise downtime.
• Coach and develop team members, fostering continuous improvement.
• Document equipment status and track performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an engineering leadership role within manufacturing or food production.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems used in a production environment.
• Thorough knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
