Maintenance Technician – AD Plant / Mechanical

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join a specialist anaerobic digestion (AD) plant operation team in Scotland. The role focuses on keeping the industrial process running safely and efficiently while developing electrical maintenance capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, pipework and other mechanical plant equipment.
• Diagnose and repair reactive breakdowns to minimise plant downtime.
• Perform basic electrical fault finding with training towards 17th/18th Edition certification.
• Complete maintenance records and identify recurring issues.
• Source spare parts and liaise with contractors and suppliers.
• Support daily plant checks, waste intake and general site operations.

Required profile

• Experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial or process environment.
• Proactive approach to fault finding and problem solving.
• Full UK driving licence.
