Maintenance Technician – Bedlington

About the role
Our client, a leading company in their sector, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their growing team in Bedlington. You will be responsible for keeping plant and equipment running efficiently, supporting production targets and contributing to continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults and carry out repairs.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance and keep accurate maintenance logs.
- Undertake fault finding, source parts and raise purchase requisitions.
- Carry out minor electronic repairs and set up machines, training others as needed.
- Participate in Quality Improvement Teams and conduct risk assessments on plant equipment.
Required profile
- BTEC/NVQ Level 3 or HNC in a relevant engineering/maintenance discipline.
- 5+ years of post‑apprenticeship experience in fault diagnosis and maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of Total Planned Maintenance (TPM) principles.

What we offer
- Early shift (06:30‑14:30) and late shift (14:30‑23:00) options.
- Shift premiums of 17.57% (early) and 22.97% (late).
- Competitive salary of £32,869 per year.
