Maintenance Technician – Days Shift

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join a dynamic manufacturing team in Bishop Auckland. The role is days‑only, Monday‑to‑Friday, offering a stable work‑life balance while keeping plant equipment running at peak performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes to improve equipment reliability.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, diagnose mechanical or electrical faults and carry out repairs.
• Minimise downtime by executing effective repairs and ensuring smooth production flow.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety and site standards in all work activities.

Required profile

• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong fault‑finding abilities, either mechanical, electrical or both.
• Proactive, can‑do attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
