Maintenance Technician

About the role

Join the dedicated Estates team as a Maintenance Technician, delivering day‑to‑day maintenance, compliance reporting and both planned and reactive services across a 65‑acre site that includes listed buildings, residential, educational, office and medical facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide planned and reactive building and engineering maintenance to agreed standards.
• Schedule and plan daily work in liaison with the Operations Supervisor, assess jobs and specify required materials or parts.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, complete paperwork and ensure the work site is left clean and tidy.
• Support the transition to digital recording of maintenance activities.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and defect rectifications on building fabric, plant equipment, fixtures and fittings.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with client departments to ensure a high‑quality, efficient service.

Required profile

• Recognised trade qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in building or building‑services maintenance within a customer‑focused environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team and be fully vaccinated against Covid‑19 unless medically exempt.
