Maintenance Technician

About the role

Join Chrysos' Maintenance team in Liverpool, supporting both the Liverpool and Cononish (Scotland) sites. You will ensure the PhotonAssay™ equipment remains operational, working closely with project managers, physicists and customers while balancing onsite, office and home‑based work.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, electrical and software maintenance on PhotonAssay™ units, including scheduled monthly checks and rapid response to breakdowns.
• Generate detailed maintenance and repair reports and provide technical support via phone, email and remote login.
• Train customers on safe operation and basic troubleshooting of equipment.
• Monitor system performance, propose engineering solutions and test equipment for safety compliance.
• Supervise contractors, manage upgrades/repairs and ensure engineering specifications are followed.
• Maintain spares inventory, record keeping and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in electrical, electronic or mechatronic engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience maintaining technical equipment with a strong safety focus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the right to work in the UK.
• Valid UK driver’s licence and willingness to travel across the UK and Europe.
