Maintenance Technician – Student Accommodation (Bath)

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join a busy student accommodation site in central Bath. The role involves ensuring rooms and communal areas are safe, functional and ready for new residents. You will work flexible hours between 8‑9 am and 4‑5 pm with an immediate start.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repair across the building, including doors, locks, furniture and fixtures.
• Replace light bulbs and perform basic electrical repairs.
• Undertake minor plumbing tasks such as fixing taps, unblocking drains and replacing shower doors.
• Perform painting touch‑ups and minor decorating work.
• Inspect appliances, report faults and ensure health‑and‑safety standards are met.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from the site team and support preparation for incoming residents.

Required profile

• Previous experience in maintenance, handyman, caretaking or facilities roles.
• Ability to work independently, manage workload and solve problems proactively.
• Commitment to high health‑and‑safety standards.
• Immediate availability.
