Major Projects Electrical Engineer – Building Services Design

About the role

We're looking for a Major Projects Electrical Engineer to join our Building Services Design team based in Salford / Speke. The role involves supporting electrical design for large, complex construction projects, ensuring sustainable, compliant, and cost‑effective delivery from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑level technical advice in electrical building services engineering and support design meetings.
• Deliver coordinated design solutions and develop standards and best practice across projects.
• Lead the electrical design team, integrate disciplines, ensure quality control and drive innovation for high‑value projects.
• Maintain effective communication with senior management on progress, cost and risks.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering; member of CIBSE or IET, Chartered Engineer or working towards chartered status.
• Demonstrated experience in electrical building services design for major projects.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a wider business audience and apply quality procedures and document control.
• Eligibility to pass the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
