Male SEN Teaching Assistant – Harrow (Full‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Male SEN Teaching Assistant to support post‑16 learners in Harrow. This full‑time position involves helping students with special educational needs develop confidence, life skills, and greater independence for adult life.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to post‑16 learners.
• Deliver practical life‑skill activities such as travel training, budgeting, cooking, shopping and daily living tasks.
• Encourage communication, confidence and positive interaction.
• Assist classroom learning and facilitate off‑site community activities.
• Manage behaviour and guide learners toward positive routines.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other SEN professionals.
• Track learner progress and contribute to development plans.
• Create and maintain a structured, safe learning environment.

Required profile

• Committed to making a real difference for learners.
• Experience in SEN, education, care or youth settings is desirable.
