Management Accountant – 14‑month contract

About the role

Our client, a leading international property investment and development business, is seeking an experienced Management Accountant on a 14‑month fixed‑term contract. You will join a small, highly skilled finance team in Central London, delivering accurate financial reporting and supporting statutory accounts for a diverse portfolio of UK and European entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver quarterly management accounts for smaller entities and assist with larger entities.
• Support the quarterly group consolidation process and produce schedules for the overseas head office.
• Draft statutory financial statements and liaise with external auditors to ensure timely completion.
• Review VAT and CIS reporting, reconcile processes and submit ONS survey returns.
• Identify and implement process improvements and support finance system development.
• Mentor junior team members and provide day‑to‑day accounting support, including payment runs and journal entry reviews.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Management Accountant in the real estate, property investment or development sector.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience preparing management accounts.
• Experience supporting statutory reporting and external audits.
• Working knowledge of IFRS; exposure to US GAAP and group consolidations is advantageous.
• Experience with VAT and CIS reporting.
