Management Accountant – 14‑month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

Our client, a leading international property investment and development business, is seeking an experienced Management Accountant on a 14‑month fixed‑term contract. You will join a small, skilled finance team in Central London, delivering accurate financial reporting and supporting statutory accounts for a portfolio of UK and European entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver quarterly management accounts for smaller entities and third‑party accounts.
• Assist the Finance Manager with quarterly accounts for larger entities and support the group consolidation process.
• Draft statutory financial statements and liaise with external auditors to ensure timely completion.
• Review draft statements for third‑party entities and identify significant changes.
• Manage VAT and CIS reporting, ONS survey returns and related reconciliations.
• Identify and implement process improvements and support finance system development.
• Mentor junior team members and provide day‑to‑day accounting support, including payment runs and journal entry reviews.

Required profile

• Previous Management Accountant experience in real estate, property investment or development.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience preparing management accounts.
• Experience supporting statutory reporting and external audits.
• Working knowledge of IFRS; exposure to US GAAP and group consolidations is advantageous.
• Experience with VAT and CIS reporting.
