Management Accountant – 3 month contract

About the role
We are seeking a Management Accountant for a three‑month contract at a leading fashion retail business in South West London. The role will be based in the head office, working four days a week on‑site, and will report to the Financial Controller.
Key responsibilities
- Own the production of management accounts across multiple sites.
- Perform month‑end duties including journals, accruals, pre‑payments and fixed assets.
- Handle balance‑sheet reconciliations.
- Review monthly results and conduct variance analysis against KPIs and budget.
- Assist with preparation of internal reports and finance analysis.
- Support budgeting activities.
- Contribute to year‑end closing tasks.
Required profile
- Experience handling management accounts and month‑end processes.
- Retail or consumer knowledge with multi‑site or multi‑entity exposure.
- Qualified or part‑qualified accountant.
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Availability to start in mid‑September and a proactive, team‑oriented attitude.
