Management Accountant - Construction

About the role

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join a rapidly expanding construction and residential development business in Warrington. The role offers hands‑on ownership of monthly management accounts, project reporting and financial analysis, supporting senior management as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and month‑end schedules.
• Complete balance‑sheet, control‑account and other reconciliations.
• Support VAT returns, CIS checks and overall compliance.
• Assist with project cost tracking, reporting and financial analysis.
• Work closely with the Financial Director to improve processes and reporting structures.
• Maintain ledger functions and enhance financial accuracy across the department.
• Provide clear financial insight to operational teams and support audit, tax and year‑end preparation.
• Handle ad‑hoc finance tasks as the business evolves.

Required profile

• AAT qualified or part‑qualified (CIMA, ACCA or ACA).
• Experience preparing management accounts and month‑end schedules.
• Strong reconciliation experience with high attention to detail.
• Confident using Excel and modern accounting systems.
• Analytical, organised and comfortable in a fast‑paced, growing environment.
