Management Accountant – Exeter, £40k-£42k

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑focused Management Accountant to join a growing organisation on the outskirts of Exeter. This full‑time, permanent position offers the chance to influence budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis while working within a supportive finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts and regular financial reports.
• Produce financial analysis and performance commentary for senior stakeholders.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow reporting processes.
• Oversee balance‑sheet reconciliations and maintain robust financial controls.
• Manage fixed‑asset reporting and intercompany transactions.
• Assist with statutory reporting, audits and compliance activities.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to provide financial insight.
• Mentor and support junior members of the finance team.

Required profile

• Fully or part‑qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a management accounting role.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with a commercial mindset.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.
