Management Accountant – Finance Business Partner

About the role

This is a hands‑on finance business partnering position based in Slough. You will be responsible for delivering management accounting, financial reporting, forecasting and commercial support across several business units while working one day per week on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, performance reports and analyse variances and KPIs.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, challenge assumptions and identify financial risks and opportunities.
• Monitor costs against budgets, analyse labour, material and operational expenses and support profitability improvements.
• Track cash flow and working‑capital metrics, produce forecasts and assist cash recovery initiatives.
• Provide financial insight to operational leaders, support project reviews, pricing decisions and develop financial models.
• Support audit requirements, maintain strong controls and drive process improvements.
• Develop finance team capability and share best practices.

Required profile

• Strong experience in management accounting and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical and cost‑analysis abilities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and challenge assumptions.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational capabilities.
• Experience leading or supporting finance team members.
• Professional accounting qualification preferred.
