Management Accountant – First Move from Practice

About the role

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our fast‑growing finance team in Birmingham City Centre. This position is aimed at candidates currently in an accountancy practice who want to make their first move into industry, bringing 2–3 years of experience preparing management accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and related financial reports.
• Post journals, accruals and pre‑payments.
• Complete bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support month‑end processes and produce analysis as required.
• Collaborate closely with the wider finance team and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• 2–3 years’ experience working within an accountancy practice, independently preparing management accounts.
• Part‑qualified or fully qualified in ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
• Strong Excel skills and a solid understanding of month‑end accounting.
• Motivation to develop a long‑term career in a commercial finance environment.
