Management Accountant – Inventory & Stock Focus

About the role

We are partnering with a growing consumer products business to hire a Management Accountant with a strong focus on inventory and stock. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will own the accounting and financial control of physical stock, ensuring accurate valuation and supporting commercial decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of inventory and stock accounting across the business.
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation and reporting within the general ledger.
• Manage and review stock reconciliations, investigating discrepancies.
• Support month‑end close for inventory, cost of sales and related balance‑sheet accounts.
• Analyse stock movements, adjustments, provisions and write‑offs.
• Produce inventory and cost analysis to aid financial and commercial decisions.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Cost, Inventory, Stock or Management Accountant.
• Strong practical experience of inventory and stock accounting in a product‑led environment.
• Good knowledge of inventory valuation, reconciliations and financial controls.
• Understanding of COGS, stock movements, provisions and write‑offs.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and challenge information.
