Management Accountant

About the role

Reed Finance is partnering with a well‑established multi‑site manufacturing business to hire a Management Accountant. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will own the month‑end process and deliver accurate, timely financial information that supports business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the month‑end close, covering stock, cash, sales, purchases and the nominal ledger.
• Prepare monthly management accounts including trial balance, profit & loss and balance sheet.
• Conduct stock valuations and maintain standard costing records in Sage.
• Manage the fixed‑asset register and calculate depreciation.
• Complete balance‑sheet reconciliations and journal postings.
• Produce budget reports and analyse variances with meaningful commentary.
• Provide management reporting to support profitability and growth.
• Submit ONS returns and support wider teams with financial insight.
• Handle SIPP‑related invoicing and stakeholder liaison.
• Lead the year‑end audit process and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented, commercially minded finance professional.
• Thrives in a collaborative environment.
• Qualified to AAT Level 4 (or part‑qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA).
• Strong ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
