Management Accountant

About the role

We are partnering with an ambitious SaaS start‑up to find a Management Accountant for their growing finance team in London. The role offers real ownership, visibility across the business and the chance to shape finance processes as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with accuracy, timeliness and consistency.
• Post journals, accruals, pre‑payments and other month‑end adjustments.
• Complete balance‑sheet reconciliations and investigate anomalies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and re‑forecasting cycles.
• Carry out variance analysis and provide clear commentary on financial performance.
• Assist with cash‑flow monitoring and reporting.
• Prepare board and investor reporting packs.
• Collaborate with operational and commercial teams to understand business performance.
• Help improve finance processes, controls and reporting frameworks.
• Support ad‑hoc projects, including systems and process improvements.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Previous experience in a management accounting role.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work at pace and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with willingness to take on a broad range of tasks.
• Experience in SaaS, technology or start‑up environments is a plus.
