Management Accountant

About the role
This full‑time Management Accountant position sits within the finance function of a well‑known organisation in Carlisle. The role is varied and hands‑on, covering month‑end reporting, budgeting, forecasting and business partnering with multiple stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts.
- Produce budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare VAT returns.
- Support year‑end requirements and audit processes.
- Maintain the fixed asset register.
- Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis as required.
- Offer financial support to aid decision‑making and liaise with other departments.
Required profile
- Demonstrated exposure to the above accounting activities.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.
- Strong IT proficiency, particularly in Excel.
- Experience with mainstream finance software.
