Management Accountant

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a market‑leading property business in South Manchester as a Management Accountant. You will own end‑to‑end financial processes and deliver accurate reporting that underpins key business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Reconcile and consolidate all balance‑sheet items.
• Support the Finance Director with budgeting, re‑forecasting cycles and provide insightful analysis.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements, accounting standards and internal policies.
• Assist the annual audit process.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and controls.
• Undertake ad‑hoc projects as required.
• Mentor and manage one junior staff member.

Required profile

• CIMA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Proven experience in management accounts and reporting.
• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and hands‑on.
• Property sector experience is advantageous.
