Management Accountant

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced accountant to join a busy finance team in Thame. The role is central to delivering accurate financial reporting, providing commercial insight, and supporting strategic decision‑making across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monthly financial reports in line with group deadlines.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations, including stock, accruals, pre‑payments, cash and inter‑company balances.
• Deliver income‑statement reporting, forecasts and supporting financial commentary.
• Partner with operational teams to provide financial insight and support business performance.
• Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and resolving queries.
• Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards and performance analysis using Power BI.
• Analyse financial trends and produce recommendations for future planning.
• Review customs duty data for completeness and accuracy.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance compliance and efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of accounting experience.
• Ability to work independently and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactive attitude towards driving process improvements.
