Management Accountant

About the role

We are a growing SME based in Harlow/Epping Border seeking a Management Accountant to join our team on‑site (9‑5). You will lead a small team, own the month‑end process and provide visibility across the business while helping to improve processes and support decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Produce regional P&L and KPI reports to support business performance.
• Assist with budgeting, re‑forecasting and VAT returns.
• Provide audit support.
• Review accounts‑payable output and support the team as needed.
• Participate in projects and drive process improvements.
• Manage a small finance team.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or nearing qualification.
• Experience of month‑end accounting cycles.
• Ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
• Confident communicator able to work with non‑finance stakeholders.
• Strong Excel proficiency.
• Exposure to projects or process‑improvement initiatives.
