Management Accountant

About the role

Agility is looking for an experienced Management Accountant who enjoys taking ownership of month‑end reporting and works closely with operational and production teams. The role offers genuine career development and the chance to improve financial performance within a supportive business.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the month‑end close and associated journals.
• Prepare and manage weekly and monthly profit and loss statements.
• Manage the sales ledger, invoice queries, credit control and inter‑company billing.
• Oversee inventory reconciliations and review stock‑count results.
• Analyse financial performance and recommend process improvements.
• Partner with production teams to identify cost savings and operational efficiencies.
• Develop labour standards for new production items and review existing bills of materials.
• Support strategic financial planning and wider business‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Experience in management accounting, financial reporting and analysis.
• Studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA is desirable.
• Manufacturing accounting experience is a strong advantage.
• Commercially aware, analytical and confident working with operational teams.
• Organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of deadlines.
• Knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT, PAYE and tax compliance.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience using accounting or ERP systems.
