Management Accountant

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a well‑established, international law firm based in London. Working within a collaborative team you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality reporting, supporting business decision‑making, and contributing to the continuous improvement of finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and variance analysis.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations such as intercompany, accruals and pre‑payments.
• Deliver KPI and headcount reporting, investigating variances against budget.
• Review and analyse overhead expenditure and work with budget holders.
• Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintain financial systems, reporting tools and data integrity.
• Support audit processes and other compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA).
• Minimum three years’ experience in a similar management accounting role.
• Strong understanding of management accounting and financial processes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage non‑finance stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with ERP or other financial reporting systems.
• Ability to work with large datasets and perform data analysis.
