Management Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Management Accountant to support the delivery of best‑in‑class retail experiences by managing company finances, ensuring accurate reporting and contributing to commercial success while making a positive environmental impact.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the month‑end process, managing ledger cut‑off dates, controlling late postings and ensuring timely ledger closure.
• Prepare and deliver complete management accounts with all reconciliations.
• Own balance‑sheet reconciliations, resolve variances and ensure accuracy.
• Produce and review P&L accounts and draft management accounts for Financial Controller approval.
• Monitor postings to the Bibby Finance account and reconcile at month‑end.
• Submit management account drafts to agreed deadlines with high accuracy and clarity.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified ACCA/CIMA, AAT qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Experience preparing monthly management accounts, P&L reporting and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Strong month‑end close experience with focus on accuracy, controls and deadlines.
• Proven ability to investigate and resolve financial variances and reconciliation issues.
• Organised, proactive and able to work independently with guidance from the Financial Controller.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Xero or other accounting software.
