Management Accountant

About the role

Our client, a well‑established accountancy practice, is expanding and is recruiting a diligent, efficient and proactive Management Accountant to support the Financial Controller in preparing monthly management information and other financial performance analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and review the production of monthly management accounts, providing commentary on main areas of concern.
• Support the Financial Controller with daily team management.
• Prepare monthly payroll.
• Develop best‑practice processes and procedures within the department and across the wider business.
• Assist with cash‑flow forecasting, departmental budgeting and cost‑centre analysis to drive efficiencies.
• Support credit control and purchase ledger functions to ensure timely debt collection and creditor payment prioritisation.
• Prepare the Daily Turnover Report.
• Assist with year‑end audits.
• Provide finance support to the team during holiday periods.
• Build effective working relationships with all departments and colleagues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar Management Accountant role.
• Part‑qualified, finalist or fully qualified accountant status.
• Good working knowledge of spreadsheets and accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
• Excellent attention to accuracy.
