Management Accountant – London (Hybrid)

About the role

This is a hands‑on Management Accountant position based in London, offering a hybrid working model. You will work closely with finance leadership and operational teams to produce accurate accounts, support funding activities and ensure compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management reports and analyse budget versus actuals.
• Develop, track and update budgets and forecasts, providing financial commentary to senior leadership.
• Invoice funders, manage grant agreements, monitor funding changes and ensure timely Gift Aid and tax claims.
• Perform reconciliations (bank, VAT, payroll, suppliers) and support audits and ISO compliance.
• Maintain the asset register, oversee purchase/sales ledger and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with at least 2 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong background in management accounts, budgeting and VAT knowledge.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Desirable experience with Xero, charity sector finance and payroll processing.
