Management Accountant (Property Development)

About the role

We are a fast‑growing property developer based in Redhill, looking for a newly qualified or finalist accountant to join our finance team. This hands‑on position offers real ownership of financial reporting and exposure to multiple live development sites.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, cashflow and variance analysis.
• Support the year‑end statutory audit and act as the main contact for external auditors.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, taking into account property‑specific considerations.
• Manage CIS returns and ensure compliance.
• Assist with cash‑flow forecasting and monitor site‑level performance.
• Review work prepared by the Accounts Assistant and support their development.
• Post journals, complete balance‑sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls.
• Contribute to process improvements as the finance function scales.
• Provide ad‑hoc analysis and support to senior management.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification – newly qualified or finalist.
• Experience in a management accounting or finance role, preferably within property, construction or project‑based environments.
• Knowledge of VAT; familiarity with CIS is advantageous.
• Proactive, organised and comfortable taking ownership of tasks.
