Management Accountant – Retail, Immediate Start

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join a fast‑paced retail business on an interim basis. The role is hybrid/flexible and starts immediately, offering the chance to add value from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate monthly management accounts.
• Prepare and analyse profit & loss, balance sheet and cash‑flow reports.
• Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders across the business.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Provide insightful analysis on sales, margins, stock, costs and overall performance.
• Challenge and influence stakeholders to drive financial performance.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close activities.
• Identify process improvements and support ad‑hoc projects.

Required profile

• Previous Management Accountant experience within a retail environment.
• Immediately available or able to start on short notice.
• Strong business‑partnering ability across all organisational levels.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑changing, high‑volume setting.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Familiarity with finance systems or ERP platforms.
