Management Consultant – Aerospace & Defence

About the role

Our client, a global consulting firm, is expanding its Aerospace & Defence practice and is looking for a Management Consultant to join delivery teams in London or Manchester. You will work on high‑impact programmes for defence organisations and government bodies, helping them modernise operations, adopt new technologies and respond to industry disruption.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver consulting projects for aerospace and defence clients as part of structured project teams.
• Own and lead discrete workstreams within larger transformation programmes.
• Analyse complex data sets to generate insights and shape strategic recommendations.
• Engage senior client stakeholders, clearly communicating outputs and outcomes.
• Support implementation of transformation initiatives to ensure measurable value delivery.
• Facilitate workshops, including innovation and requirements sessions using human‑centred design approaches.
• Contribute to business development by creating propositions, collateral and client‑facing materials.

Required profile

• 3+ years’ experience in management consulting with aerospace & defence clients, or 5+ years’ industry experience delivering transformation in related sectors.
• Strong experience in at least one of: Supply Chain/Procurement, Manufacturing/Operational Improvement, Digital Engineering/PLM, Programme Delivery, Quality Management or Services.
• Excellent analytical and structured problem‑solving capability.
• Confident communicator with client‑facing experience.
• Degree qualified (strong academic background preferred) and demonstrable interest in technology, innovation and defence transformation.
• Eligibility for UK security clearance (typically requires 5 years continuous UK residency).
