Manager – AI & Data, Healthcare (UKI)

About the role

EY is expanding its Health consulting practice and seeks a Manager to lead AI and data‑driven initiatives for NHS and other healthcare clients across the UK and Ireland. You will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of health data, ensuring its accuracy, compliance and strategic use to transform services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead consulting projects that apply AI, automation and advanced analytics to improve productivity, enable digital transformation and reduce costs in the healthcare sector.
• Collaborate with NHS and private‑sector clients to understand their data needs and co‑design tailored analytics, reporting and AI solutions.
• Design, build and deploy data pipelines, predictive and prescriptive models, and integrate them with AI technologies.
• Analyse healthcare systems, policies and datasets to identify opportunities for data‑driven innovation.
• Facilitate workshops to raise data literacy and promote consistent data practices across organisations.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and clinical users to ensure solutions are safe, practical and aligned with NHS workflows.
• Mentor junior consultants and foster AI and health‑data expertise within the team.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends, regulatory changes and emerging AI technologies to inform consulting strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering data and analytics solutions in the health sector, preferably with NHS datasets.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, data governance and clinical workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to lead consulting engagements and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with AI, machine learning and advanced analytics techniques.
• Knowledge of healthcare data standards, NHS data structures and compliance requirements.
• Ability to design and implement data pipelines, reporting dashboards and predictive models.
