Manager, Direct Tax

About the role

Our client, a leading insurance and financial services group, is seeking an experienced Direct Tax Manager to join the Finance team in London. You will own a broad portfolio of UK and international direct tax matters, providing technical expertise across compliance, advisory and project work.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review UK corporation tax computations and returns.
• Provide technical input on direct tax issues, including transfer pricing.
• Lead tax analysis for business projects and advise internal stakeholders.
• Support tax compliance for UK and overseas operations.
• Manage tax risk and ensure adherence to relevant legislation.
• Act as the subject‑matter expert for direct tax across the organisation.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA, CTA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong experience in UK corporation tax compliance and reporting.
• Good knowledge of UK and international direct tax legislation.
• Experience in insurance or financial services is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proactive, commercially minded and able to juggle multiple priorities.
