Manager, Programme Design and Development

About the role

The Programme Design and Development (PDD) team within MSI’s Global Funding, Innovation and Impact department drives strategic growth by securing new donor funding. As a Manager you will independently lead the creation of high‑impact programmes and proposals for institutional donors across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end development of single‑ and multi‑country proposals, including bid writing, coordination and submission.
• Own country fundraising action plans, facilitate programme design processes and negotiate partnership agreements.
• Build capacity of MSI country programmes to engage local donors and manage complex proposal cycles.
• Collaborate with in‑country, technical and donor teams to ensure proposals align with strategic objectives and funding requirements.

Required profile

• Proven track record of writing and managing complex, high‑value, multi‑country proposals and securing grants from donors, foundations and trusts.
• Strong relationship‑building skills and ability to work effectively across cultures and with diverse stakeholders.
• Fluent in French and English with excellent written communication.
• Solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities, confident handling of difficult situations and attention to detail.
