Managing Director – Securities Finance Technology

About the role

Citi is seeking a highly motivated Managing Director to lead its Securities Finance Technology division in London. In this senior leadership position you will shape the strategy, development and transformation of the Agency Lending and Collateral technology platforms, driving modernization and innovation across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a comprehensive technology roadmap for Agency Lending and Collateral platforms, aligning with business goals and industry trends.
• Provide vision and leadership to a global team of software engineers, architects and project managers.
• Champion modern architecture patterns such as microservices, cloud‑native development and event‑driven design.
• Lead the transformation of monolithic applications into a resilient, scalable microservices ecosystem.
• Oversee the end‑to‑end software development lifecycle, ensuring timely, high‑quality delivery of new features and critical projects.
• Implement Agile and DevOps best practices to improve development velocity and quality.
• Develop and execute an AI‑first engineering strategy, leveraging AI‑assisted software development.
• Design and build data pipelines, data lakes and analytics capabilities to unlock the value of securities finance data.

Required profile

• Proven track record of managing global development teams and large‑scale modernization programs.
• Strong leadership experience in a senior technology role within the financial services sector.
• Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change toward innovation and data‑enabled decision making.
