Mandarin Speaking IT Support

About the role

The position is based in the IT Centre (Europe) supporting the secure operation of banking applications across Europe and Africa. You will act as the first‑line Help Desk for the bank’s IT systems, monitor production environments and perform data backup tasks while working a 36‑hour week that includes night or weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line Help Desk support, handling user ID management, production access requests and service tickets.
• Maintain machine‑room environment and assist second‑line engineers with system changes and maintenance.
• Monitor production systems and applications, following incident‑management procedures for critical alerts.
• Execute daily operational duties, run batch jobs and generate system/network reports for management and branches.
• Perform first‑line handling of system and network alerts and support OA‑system maintenance.

Required profile

• Degree in Information Technology, Computing, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in PC support, Windows 10/11 troubleshooting and OA‑system maintenance.
• Fluent in both English and Mandarin with excellent communication skills.
• Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom and ability to provide supporting documentation.

• MS Office suite, MS Outlook, SharePoint, Internet Explorer, Chrome and Lotus Notes.
• Database management.
• Knowledge of Information Security, Cyber Security and GDPR compliance.
