Mandarin Speaking Operations Officer

About the role

This permanent, office‑based position supports the loan credit review function for a financial services team in London. The role requires fluency in Mandarin and strong analytical abilities to assess borrower information and maintain accurate credit records.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular loan credit reviews and analyse borrower financial statements, annual reports and rating documents.
• Collect, file and update borrower financial and business information, monitoring changes that affect balance sheets and income statements.
• Maintain and update company credit ratings, flagging goodwill or asset impairments when they arise.
• Process back‑office loan activities including drawdowns, repayments, interest repricing and amortisation of premium/discount loans.
• Execute money‑market transactions and prepare daily, monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Handle incoming and outgoing SWIFT messages and ensure proper sign‑off.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and consider job rotation within the department.
