Mandarin Speaking Relationship Manager (Corporate Banking)

About the role

This permanent position is based in Central London and reports to the Head of Corporate Banking. You will work in a hybrid model (four days in the office, one day remote) to support the growth of the Corporate Banking London Branch while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Grow trade revenues, assets and returns from existing client portfolios to meet individual and team targets.
• Develop relationships with head office, domestic branches and clients to increase deal size and cross‑sell products such as loans, deposits, trade finance, cash management, FX, bond issuance and RMB services.
• Identify and acquire new corporate clients to expand the branch’s asset base.
• Maintain accurate client and credit files, conduct pre‑loan investigations, manage credit procedures and post‑loan monitoring.
• Perform corporate KYC and AML checks, and coordinate legal documentation and clause negotiations.
• Handle internal system tasks including credit applications, reviews and maintenance.
• Mentor junior team members and produce high‑quality client support documentation.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education or higher.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (both written and spoken).
• Proven experience in corporate banking with strong client‑relationship and credit‑analysis capabilities.
• Ability to work ethically and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
