Manual Turner – Aircraft Landing Gear MRO

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Manual Turner to join an aircraft landing‑gear MRO team in Hayes. You will be responsible for machining components and tooling that support the maintenance, repair and overhaul process for critical aerospace parts.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual lathes to produce parts to tight tolerances.
- Machine components and tooling required for landing‑gear MRO activities.
- Use grinding machines where required to achieve final surface finishes.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and engineering documentation.
- Work a double‑day shift pattern (Week 1 06:00‑14:00, Week 2 13:55‑21:55).
Required profile
- Proven experience as a manual turner, preferably in an aerospace or MRO environment.
- Ability to work the specified shift schedule.
- Legal right to live and work in the United Kingdom without restriction.
Required skills
- Manual lathe operation.
- Grinding machine operation.
- Interpretation of technical drawings and specifications.
- Machining to tight tolerances.
What we offer
- Competitive salary ranging from £32,000 to £35,000 per year.
- Additional shift allowance of £3,920.
- Full‑time, permanent position within a specialist aerospace team.
