Manufacturing Assembly Operator – Fixed Term to Permanent

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Assembly Operator to join a growing production business in Blackbushe. The role starts on a fixed‑term basis with the prospect of becoming permanent as demand continues to rise.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble products from PCB level through sub‑assemblies to fully finished units.
• Interpret engineering drawings, wiring schedules and technical documentation.
• Use soldering irons, crimp tools, measuring equipment and other assembly tools safely and efficiently.
• Carry out quality checks and raise non‑conformance reports or engineering change requests when needed.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality and stores teams to maintain continuous production flow.
• Support stock checks, part enquiries and maintain accurate production records in internal systems.
• Assist fellow operators to meet production targets.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production assembly environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience with electronic and/or mechanical assembly processes.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality‑focused mindset.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic IT literacy.

Required skills

• Soldering (including surface‑mount techniques).
• Crimping tools operation.
• Use of measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
• PCB assembly.
• Interpretation of engineering drawings.
