Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who is passionate about continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and process optimisation. You will support production on the shop floor, driving efficiency and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions and visual factory documentation.
• Lead lean initiatives such as Kaizen and 6S projects.
• Design jigs, fixtures, tooling, shadow boards and shop‑floor layouts to boost productivity.
• Maintain production routings in SAP and support Engineering Change Requests (ECR/ECN).
• Create KPIs, visual management boards and performance reports.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis using A3 problem‑solving techniques.
• Produce CAD layouts and technical drawings to optimise factory flow.
• Support FMEA, Value Stream Mapping and process validation activities.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or in a Continuous Improvement role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement techniques.
• Experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD (2D AutoCAD desirable).
• Proficiency in SAP, especially production routings and data management.
• Confident use of Microsoft Office with solid analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Organised, detail‑focused and able to communicate across all business levels.
