Manufacturing Engineering Manager

About the role

Clean Power Hydrogen Group Ltd is expanding its Operations team and is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the planning, development and optimisation of manufacturing processes for its Membrane‑Free Electrolyser™ technology. Based at the Doncaster facility, you will act as the bridge between Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering, ensuring design intent is translated into efficient, high‑quality production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed assembly documentation, work instructions, checklists and installation drawings.
• Define sub‑assembly build stages, sequence of operations and factory layout, driving optimisation for efficiency and safety.
• Collaborate with Engineering to validate technical feasibility of process changes and manage engineering change requests.
• Manage in‑process and end‑of‑line quality control, containment and rework processes, partnering with Engineering and Quality on non‑conformances.
• Oversee tooling and quality systems, supporting continuous‑improvement initiatives across production.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading manufacturing engineering activities in an industrial setting.
• Strong ability to translate mechanical and electrical design intent into practical manufacturing solutions.
• Experience in process flow definition, factory layout planning and documentation control.
• Hands‑on knowledge of quality control, containment and rework procedures.
• Excellent collaboration skills with engineering, quality and production teams.
