Manufacturing Operative

About the role

Our client, a growing manufacturing company in Slough, is seeking a full‑time Manufacturing Operative. The position combines production, assembly and warehouse duties in a dynamic environment that values its staff.

Key responsibilities

• Receive goods, perform visual and dimensional inspections, and process related documentation in the ERP system.
• Pack products for shipment, prepare shipping documentation and maintain traceability records.
• Load and unload rumbling machines and wash‑plant equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on rumbling machines, including changing water and media.
• Apply protective caps, pin components together and carry out light manual tube‑bending tasks.
• Assist with general warehouse duties such as picking, packing and preparing shipments.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated with the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
• Reliable, consistent and committed to quality.
• Adaptable and able to switch between production and warehouse tasks.
• Team‑oriented yet comfortable working independently.
• Physically capable of manual handling and light assembly work.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using an ERP system for documentation and traceability.
• Experience with visual and basic dimensional inspections.
• Routine maintenance of rumbling machines.
• Operation of wash‑plant equipment.
• Manual tube bending and basic assembly techniques.

What we offer

• Competitive salary of £33,000 per year.
• 37.5‑hour work week (08:30‑17:00, Monday‑Friday) with 1‑hour lunch break.
