Manufacturing Operator – Production Operative (Basingstoke)

About the role
We are seeking a reliable Production Operative to join a global microbiology manufacturer in Basingstoke. This 12‑month full‑time contract offers a fast‑paced environment where your work directly supports the production of dehydrated culture media for global health.
Key responsibilities
- Follow defined processes to create batch manufacturing records, print labels and operate the appropriate equipment.
- Allocate materials and update the stock management system using SAP.
- Monitor, track and report daily production goals to the supervisor.
- Maintain training records within the company’s quality management system.
Required profile
- Good literacy and numeracy with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written instructions and accurately record data.
- Comfort using a computer.
- Reliable and accountable attendance and productivity.
Required skills
- SAP (stock management system).
What we offer
- Pay of £13.46 per hour plus a 10 % shift allowance (£14.80 total).
- 12‑month contract with full training provided.
- Shift patterns: Week 1 06:00‑14:00, Week 2 08:00‑16:00, Monday‑Friday.
