Manufacturing Technical Writer

About the role

Lush is seeking its first Engineering Document Writer to create and maintain clear technical documentation for its manufacturing operations. You will act as the bridge between engineers, shop‑floor operators and the quality team, turning complex processes into easy‑to‑follow SOPs, work instructions and visual guides.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and standardise technical documentation across Lush manufacturing sites.
• Shadow engineers and operators to draft SOPs, work instructions and machine‑setup guides.
• Map workflows, line layouts and operational sequences using visual flowcharts.
• Maintain a central engineering document repository with version control.
• Collaborate with the quality team to audit and update existing documents.
• Create quick‑reference visual guides, training materials and user sheets for continuous‑improvement projects.
• Ensure all documentation complies with Health & Safety, GMP and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for engineering processes.
• Excellent written communication skills, able to translate technical language into clear instructions.
• Enthusiastic about establishing a brand‑new documentation function within a fast‑growing team.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary groups.
