Marine Cargo Account Handler / Technician

About the role

The Marine Cargo Account Handler / Technician will join a fast‑moving Marine Client Services team within a leading international insurance broker. Working in a client‑facing environment, you will provide technical and administrative support for cargo insurance broking, ensuring accurate documentation and smooth market submissions.

Key responsibilities

• Produce slips, draft policy wordings and prepare renewal information for market submission.
• Process premiums, generate debit and credit notes, and verify regulatory compliance.
• Manage client queries, maintain records in internal systems, and coordinate information flow between brokers, underwriters and global stakeholders.
• Utilise London Market platforms and broking systems to submit documentation to the Bureau and support placement activity.
• Provide day‑to‑day support to the Marine cargo team, contributing to the growth of the business.

Required profile

• Previous experience in technical insurance support or account handling, preferably within marine or cargo business.
• Solid understanding of insurance/reinsurance markets and ability to interpret and produce technical documentation.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Confident communicator with a proactive, problem‑solving attitude.
