Marine Field Service Engineer – International Travel

About the role
Our client, a specialist in marine exhaust gas turbocharger repair, is seeking a Marine Field Service Engineer to join their expanding engineering team. The role is based in Totton with frequent travel to workshops worldwide, supporting ships and land‑based power plants.
Key responsibilities
- Service, diagnose and repair exhaust gas turbochargers on vessels of all sizes and on stationary power units.
- Minimise equipment downtime by delivering timely on‑site solutions.
- Travel to domestic and international workshops, often working extended periods away from home.
- Maintain accurate service records and produce detailed technical reports.
Required profile
- Minimum two years experience in marine engineering.
- At least two years working on ABB, Accelleron, MAN or MET turbochargers (essential).
- Experience with new‑generation turbochargers is desirable.
- Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to work independently.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to work weekends when required.
