Marine Technician / Client Manager (Account Handler)

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Marine Technician/Client Manager to act as an Account Handler within their London office. The role supports global broking teams, delivering high‑quality technical service throughout the client lifecycle and driving process efficiencies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise across the Marine team, focusing on Hull & Machinery.
• Produce and review market and client documentation, including slips, endorsements and wordings.
• Initiate and manage renewal activity, supplying brokers with relevant information.
• Support risk creation, premium processing and documentation circulation.
• Monitor workloads, premium conditions and financial balances to ensure efficient delivery.
• Conduct quality‑control checks and resolve technical queries from clients, brokers, markets and claims teams.
• Coach team members and act as subject‑matter expert for complex Marine technical matters.
• Maintain internal systems, ensure regulatory compliance and build strong relationships with clients, brokers and markets.

Required profile

• Approximately 3 years of experience in Marine insurance, particularly Hull & Machinery.
• Exposure to Cargo and Aviation insurance is beneficial.
• Experience in a fast‑paced client services or broking support function.
• Strong understanding of market dynamics and client requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
