Market Data Engineer

About the role

Marex is seeking a Market Data Engineer to join its Data & AI team within the Technology Department. The role focuses on enhancing the Security Master Platform, improving data quality, processing speed, and scalability across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain enhancements to the Security Master Platform.
• Design, build, and optimise robust ETL pipelines for reference data ingestion.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
• Support the Data Lakehouse environment, enabling decentralized data access and auditability.
• Participate in agile development cycles, delivering scalable solutions on schedule.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience in data engineering, preferably within financial or commodity markets.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data quality and performance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an agile team.
